Happy Hippy Socks is a brand striving to produce comfortable and stylish socks for those who wish to stand out. Our iconic tie dye socks are a lot like our customers: bright, fun, and out-of-this-world. Made from organic cotton, our socks are designed for comfortable, all-day wear. We pride ourselves on being eco-friendly so you can show love the environment and your feet at the same time.

Goals

  • Develop, in detail, a unique identity, merchandise, and a story for the Happy Hippy brand.

  • Establish what sets this brand apart from its competitors.

  • Learn exactly what a brand is and how design ties into branding.

Research

I first started by defining exactly what the brand was going to be. In order to do this, I had to study competitors and what makes them unique. From there, I could determine what selling point would make my brand unique. I decided that eco-friendly and ethical production of products would be a great option that I value and some people within our target audience would value as well. Other crucial research conducted included gathering information such as logos, brand voices, and presentation of competitors. These proved to be helpful examples in order to construct an original brand with personality and flair.

Final Results

The final project ended up being a solidified, comprehensive project with a vibrant and playful style. I was and am still proud to display this as a first branding project.
